Sussex Pie is the magazine of the Sussex Folk Association and aims to promote the events of folk clubs
throughout Sussex. The bulk of the magazine consists of listings and advertisements for events as well as contact details for
clubs. Space is always at a premium, but variety is the spice of life and submissions of folk-related articles are welcomed.
These could be a brief history of a club; CD reviews; new dances; profiles of prominent people in the Sussex folk dance
scene or topical comments (e.g. about how the bad weather over winter affected dances in Sussex).
It is printed quarterly with approximate deadlines for publication at
the beginning of March, June, September and December.
Electronic submissions are acceptable otherwise use the contact information above to get the postal address.
Sussex Pie is available from most folk clubs in the Sussex area, and is free. Individual copies can be posted for a suggested donation of £2.50 per year. Electronic copies can be sent by email free
of charge, just contact the editor to be added to the mailing list.
Sussex Pie relies on advertising revenue, sponsorship, and donations to cover its costs, with an occasional bonus after a
SusFA workshop. Donations are always welcome from clubs or individuals. Clubs can sponsor an issue for £50 and have their
name featured on the front cover. Please contact the editor for more details.
Listings in the diary for special events are free.
A full page advert costs £18, a half page costs £10, a quarter page is just £5.
